Coming off a season where he recorded 67 tackles, 5 for loss, and was an all-league honorable mention defensive back, Kam Longacre has his eyes set on an even better performance in his senior season.

“I’m excited to play football with my best friends, (and I) also cannot wait to lead our offensive unit this year,” Longacre said. To that end, he has put in extra work this summer.

“I have been training with Sharp Performance and have been attending camps throughout the summer as well as the normal summer workouts with my team,” he said when asked about his summer schedule.

Andover went 3-6 last year, but several losses were within a touchdown or were close late, Prior to last season, the Trojans had multiple consecutive winning seasons, and Longacre wants to be a part of returning to their winning ways by being a leader of the defense.

“I am wanting to lead our defensive unit to a better year than we had last year; we have been working together and perfecting our defense during our camp week” Longacre commented. When asked about his future plans after high school, he mentioned two possibilities: “My plan is to either play football in college, or enlist in the military to get my college paid for.”

Andover opens 9/1 at home against Maize South.
