Q&A with Andover Central’s Hayden Snodgrass – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Farm Bureau’s Mike Garman

VYPE got to sit down with Andover Central Volleyball’s Hayden Snodgrass and find out more about who she is.

VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?

To make first team all league again, league MVP and all state, and to get better as a player.

VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?

There’s not just one thing- I had fun in Florida at AAU Nationals, also making it to state in both volleyball and basketball last season.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?

That’s so hard to pick. I’ve had so many great teachers, but one of my favorites was Mr. Potter, my 8th grade language arts teacher.  He was just a good teacher, he made class interesting and was funny!

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

I have two- beating Newton at Substate in volleyball last season, and getting 3rd at state basketball my sophomore year.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Maddie Amekpafor. She always made every player on the team feel important, and put the team first.  She genuinely cared about all of her teammates and was very competitive.

VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?

The relationship that all of the girls have.  We’re all kind of like best friends. I always have fun at practice and with the team no matter what we’re doing.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?

I would go to Europe with my sister, Skyler.

VYPE: If we gave you $1,000 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?

I’d probably spend it on a new phone, shoes, and clothes.

VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?

No, unfortunately with playing 2 sports year round, I haven’t had enough time to do something like that.
