Rose Hill’s Ethan Brooks -Athlete Spotlight – Presented by  K. Westphal Jewelers

Rose Hill senior Ethan Brooks, a star midfielder, helped lead Rose Hill to a successful season this year, even if it fell short of the lofty goal he set at the start of the year. “My personal goal for the year was to win state,” Brooks said, but added ” The season was a very large success for our team and me personally, our record was extremely solid and I improve significantly every year.”

Rose Hill ended the season with a tough 3-2 loss to Trinity Academy, but overall, they were well above .500, with a large positive goal differential. They lost several matches by one goal, while beating many larger schools, including a 3-1 victory over an Augusta team that finished 15-3.

Brooks, who said his proudest accomplishment was playing in a state match his freshman year, emphasized the camaraderie of his teammates, saying “”My favorite part of being on this team is the relationships between the players, hands down. It’s such a joy hanging out with these guys, I am going to miss every one of them!”

After high school Brooks plans to continue playing soccer, but he is unsure where, commenting “I’m not completely sure where, but I know it’s my dream to continue playing soccer after high school.”
