VYPE got to sit down with Andover Central athlete Christian McGinness and learn more about who he is. 

VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?

My main goal is to figure out what I want to study in college, but I would also like to run track during the spring semester and go to state in at least one event.

VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?

The most fun I have had in the last year has to either be late nights with friends over the summer or the St. Thomas Aquinas tournament during the summer as well.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?

I would have to say that my favorite teacher would probably be my fifth grade teacher Ms. Hastings because she made the class very fun and I just had a good time in her class.

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

My favorite memory was my junior year appearance at state. I enjoyed the atmosphere of competition and pushing each other to our limits.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Cooper Carman and Ayden Woods have both been very impactful on who I am as a soccer player. Ever since we played together when we were little we just pushed one another to continuously get better.

VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?

The family aspect of the team has to be the best. While just like everyone else we go through some struggles, we always seem to find a way through it and that isn’t something you find everyday.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go and who do you take with you?

If I could go anywhere I would choose to go out to Colorado to run trails with a few of my friends from the previous track season.

VYPE: If we gave you $1,000 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?

If I had $1,000 to spend right now, I would probably spend it on a week-long vacation in Hawaii.

VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?

As of this moment I am not.
